Shiranee Sriskandan is Professor of Infectious Diseases at Imperial College London, Head of the Section of Adult Infectious Diseases, and a Consultant in Infectious Diseases. Her research interests in group A streptococcal disease include pathogenesis, epidemiology, molecular genomics and vaccines; more recently she has become interested in transmission between people and transit of streptococci within the body. In addition to her research on acute infection recognition and epidemiology of bloodstream infections, she is the Royal College of Physicians lead for Sepsis.
