Dr. Andrea Beaton is an Associate Professor and pediatric cardiologist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She is a an expert in rheumatic heart disease, having published over 60 peer reviewed manuscripts. Her research spans the rheumatic heart disease spectrum from Group A strep to rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease. Her work is supported by the American Heart Association and the Thrasher Research Fund. Dr. Beaton works with a variety of global partners including the Rheumatic Heart Disease Research Collaboration in Uganda, The Federal University of Minas Gerais, Telethon Kids Institute, and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
